The Cairns region is part of Australia’s Wet Tropics and is framed by the lush World Heritage listed Wet Tropics rainforest to the west and north and the Coral Sea and the World Heritage Listed Great Barrier Reef Marine Park to the east. These attributes make the region a world renowned tourist destination. The theme for the business session is on new and emerging opportunities between Australia and Japan. Some of the new and emerging business sectors include the service industries such as Health and Medical Research, Education and Seniors Living. These are just some of the industries that will form part of the new business sectors driving opportunities between the countries. We will also be exploring what one of the leading Global companies operating in the traditional sectors are doing to meet the changing world business environment.

Day 2 is about building stronger communities through greater involvement of sister city relationships and enhancing the strong educational links already in place between Australia and Japan. There will be a couple of performances from a school dancing troupe and Japanese Drummers.
