Saturday, February 3, 2024 saw the official opening of the Japan Education and Cultural Centre of Western Australia (JECCWA), following a couple of years’ hard work from the the Australia-Japan Society of Western Australia Committee.
This is a massive achievement for the Australia-Japan Society of WA – delivering this outcome for the community in its 50th anniversary year.
Around 100 dignitaries, including the Society’s Japanese patron, the Consul General of Japan to WA, Mr Naito, and Ms Samantha Rowe, representing the Society’s other patron, the Premier of Western Australia, AJSWA Committee and Members, and other invited special guests.
There were also Japanese cultural displays of ikebana, bonsai, and music – along with wonderful Japanese foods and beverages.
Look out for details of when JECCWA will be open to the public – coming very soon!
