After months of hard work and negotiations with the WA State Government, the Australia-Japan Society of WA is excited to announce that the Japan Education and Cultural Centre of Western Australia (JECCWA) will open it’s doors to the public at the former Hyogo Cultural Centre site in Tuart Hill in early 2024.
This is a massive achievement for the Australia-Japan Society of WAÂ -Â delivering this outcome for the community in its 50th anniversary year.
Melissa Luyke has been appointed Director of the JECCWA facility -Â Melissa’s experience at the former Hyogo Centre will be key to JECCWA’s success. The Australia-Japan Society of WA have officially occupied the site and will be working diligently to ensure operations are ready to go for on opening in the immediate future.
A date has not yet been identified, but it is anticipated as early in the New Year .
